Kent Mathews

President & Academic Dean

Dr. Mathews spent 15-plus years in business, last serving as VP of Marketing and New Product Development for a former Hallmark Cards division, then 15-plus years in professional ministry, pastoring two medium-size churches in two different denominations. For the last half of his ministry and continuing today, he has also served in undergraduate and seminary professorships, helping to more effectively train a new generation of Christian leaders. He is a practitioner skilled in the art of communicating theoretical matters in a practical way.

Dr. Mathews is concurrently serving as Distance Professor of Mentoring for Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Charlotte) and is Director of its eight-course Mentored Apprenticeship Program.
